| Description | Roker Pier (lighthouse not visible) and North South Pier, with crane at tip, visible in background. Moving forward from the piers is the sea, then groups of people walking and seated on promenade. In front of that is a stretch of grass then, a fence and road (Roker Terrace) with tram lines and posts visible behind gardens. Tent is striped and there is a large flag pole behind it. Tent similar to AHB/11/1/41/4. Construction on new south pier paused in 1914 and completed c. 1922. |
