In front of that is a stretch of grass then, a fence and road (Roker Terrace) with tram lines and posts visible behind gardens. Two tents set up in neighbouring gardens in the foreground: nearer tent has two women, a man and a girl sat under it, further tent is striped has a large flag pole behind it. Tent similar to AHB/11/1/41/4. Construction on new south pier paused in 1914 and completed c. 1922. |
