| Administrative History | Established by Deed of Settlement of Miss Elizabeth Russel and Miss Grace Russel, residing in Aberdeen, daughters of the late Thomas Russel Esquire of Rathen, dated 26 September 1863. By the Deed of Settlement £100 was left to the Magistrates and Town Council of the Burgh of Banff; the interest on which was to be used for the maintenance of the tombs of their grandfather, the late Alexander Innes of Rosieburn, and of their father, the late Thomas Russel of Rathen, in the churchyard of the old church of Banff. |
