Administrative History | The Alexander Cassy Trust was established by Trust Disposition of Alexander Cassy of Queen's Row, Pentonville, dated 8 Febuary 1819. The interest on the principal sum bequeathed to the Magistrates and Town Council of Banff was to be used for the support of "poor, aged and infirm persons of both sexes, incapable of maintaining themselves by labour, born within the precincts of the said Royal Burgh, and orphans and other poor, helpless and deserted children born as before". |
