Administrative History | Boddam Special Water Supply District was in place from at least 1893, when the County Council approved flushing tanks for the water supply system.
Boddam Special Scavenging District was set up in 1896. It was initially intended to match the boundaries of the Special Water Supply District, but this was appealed against by some local inhabitants and the lines were modified to meet the Special Drainage District boundaries.
Boddam Special Lighting District was set up in 1933, based on the boundaries of the Special Scavenging District. It was extended in 1938.
The Special Scavenging District was extended at the same time, and again in 1949, just before being adopted into the county system.
Boddam Special Drainage District was adopted into the county system in 1968, along with Boddam Special Lighting District. |
