Administrative History | Ratepayers in Whinnyfold requested a Special Water Supply, Drainage and Scavenging District in 1946, but the decision was deferred by the County Council.
In 1947, a Special Scavenging District was recommended by the Medical Officer of Health for the county, and preparations for the Special Water Supply District were begun the same year.
Facilities for the Special Scavenging District were set up in 1947, but the district was not formed until 1949, when it was immediately incorporated into the county.
A Special Drainage District was set up in the 1960s, but when the county council formed its county-wide Special Drainage District in 1968, Whinnyfold was excluded as no facilities had been set up. |
