Administrative History | Newburgh, in Foveran parish, set up its own drainage scheme in 1895, but apparently without the formality of having a Special Drainage District.
Some time between then and 1906, a Special Drainage and Water Supply District was established, and a Special Lighting District was based on it in 1906.
A Scavenging District was also set up, and was adopted into the county system in 1949.
Both lighting and drainage functions were taken over by the county council in 1968. |
