Administrative History | Fyvie Special Drainage District and Special Water Supply District were both debated first in 1935. Both were finally approved in 1938. Three years later, a Special Scavenging District was formed, based on the joint Special Drainage and Water Supply District.
In 1946, the local ratepayers requisitioned and were granted a Special Lighting District.
The Special Scavenging District was adopted into the county system in 1949, and the Lighting District and surviving drainage functions of the Drainage and Water Supply District were taken over by the county in 1968. |
