Administrative History | New Byth, in King Edward Parish, had a Special Water Supply and Drainage District from at least 1904, when the new Special Lighting District was based on its existing boundaries. There had already been a lighting committee in the village, and it handed over the lighting plant to the Special District.
The water supply was imrpoved in 1938.
A Special Scavenging District was formed and adopted into the county system in 1949, and both lighting and drainage were taken over by the county council in 1968. |
