| Description | Notifications are copies of entries in the register of juvenile offenders for counties and burghs in Banffshire, kept by the Scottish North-Eastern Counties Constabulary. The register was a requirement under section 63 (3) of the Children and Young Persons (Scotland) Act 1937 (which is referred to on the forms) and the Act also required that the Chief Constable transmit a copy of the entry relating to the child to the education authority for the area in which the child resided.
Arranged alphabetically by surname. Records: court, name of offender, age, sex, date of birth, school last attended, crime or offence charged with, date of finding of guilt or order of the court; order of the court (ranges from fines to being sent to Approved Schools).
