Administrative History | Marykirk Special Drainage District was proposed under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944, but was only set up in 1949. A Special Scavenging District was proposed by the Local Committee on Public Health in 1947, in connexion with the new County Refuse scheme. The Special Scavenging District was dissolved on 16 May 1961, in order for the area to be included in the new County scheme. A Special Lighting District, intended to cover the whole village except for the main road which passed through it, was proposed and approved in 1972 |
