Administrative History | Cove Special Drainage & Water Supply District was requisitioned by local ratepayers and discussed in 1914: at that time the village had 4 stand wells for 48 houses. Nothing was done, however, and in 1946 Cove Bay Special Drainage District was finally set up, with a government grant under the Rural Water Supplies and Sewerage Act, 1944. Cove Bay Special Lighting District was proposed and approved in 1950, with a cost of £310 for installation of lights. The Special Scavenging District was one of those not included in the County refuse scheme in 1961. |
