The Council awarded the following vacant bursaries at Marischal College for one year, on the recommendation of the Faculty of Marischal College. Donald Sage was awarded one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursaries of £7, in place of Roger Milne who had left Marischal College; and William Ramsay was awarded one of Katherine Rolland's bursaries of £7, in place of Patrick Rae, who had also left Marischal College. The Council remitted to the magistrates the petition from Thomas Booth, late coal metter, who had been dismissed from his post by order of the magistrates. The Council authorised the magistrates to re-instate Thomas Booth, if they saw fit. (225r)

The Council remitted to the magistrates the application from John Cuming at Bridge of Don, proposing to take a feu or long lease of a piece of ground in the Links, somwhere between the Pump Well near Izet's houses, and the ropework occupied by James Gibbon & Company. The Council recommended that the property should not be let for the purpose of building. (225r)

The Council ordered the report by Messrs Telford and Jessop, engineers, on the improvement of the inner part of the Harbour and on the deepening of the Navigation Channel, to lie on the table. (225r)

The Council authorised the Dean of Guild, the Treasurer, the Master of Kirk and Bridge Works and the Master of Mortifications to enter into submissions with the New Streets Trustees for valuing the properties belonging to the office bearers in the line of the new streets. (225r - 225v)

The Council directed the magistrates to obtain a plan and estimates from tradesmen for re-building the Flour Mill, which had burned down. (225v)

The Council recommended to the magistrates to warn the Whale Fishing Company to vacate the ground at Footdee, on which their boil houses were erected, at Whitsunday 1806. (225v)

The Provost reported that Dr Hamilton, Procurator for Marischal College, had given the balance of the funds of Dr David Mitchell's mortification (£47 2 shillings 10 pence), to Mr Copland, Depute Town Clerk, to be used by the Provost and magistrates for whatever public charity they deemed appropriate. (225v)

The Council remitted to the magistrates the application from Mr Forbes offering to purchase the feu duties and casualties for his Lands of Springhill and Springfield, and for a piece of ground at Footdee, which was part of the minister's glebe. (226r)
