The Council remitted to the Consultor and the Clerks, in the presence of one or more of the magistrates, to compare the Town's writs and titles in the Charter Chest with the Inventory, to ascertain whether any documents were missing, following the death of Mr Alexander Carnegie, late Principal Town Clerk. (241r)

The Council authorised the Treasurer to grant a disposition of the Lands, rents and feu duties of Gilcomston to the Master of Kirk and Bridge Works, in order to complete the titles; and also to grant a disposition of the superiority of the Lands of Gilcomston in favour of John Brebner. (241r)

The Council admitted William Ingram, Gilbert Cordiner, William Smith and John Menzies to be Lime Metters at the Port of Aberdeen, with the usual emoluments and perquisites, and directed them to find caution to the satisfaction of the magistrates. (241r - 241v)
