The Council granted the application of Messrs Brebner Gibbon & Company and to George Annand & Company, common brewers in Aberdeen, for a lease for three years of the multures of the grain used in their breweries, for yearly rent of £25 by Brebner Gibbon & Company, and of £15 by George Annand & Company. (36v - 37r)

The Council granted the application of Mr William Smith, schoolmaster at Footdee, for a lease of the school and schoolhouse lately built by the Council at the entry to Garvock's Wynd, for yearly rent of 1 shilling. Conditions of the lease are specified: to maintain the school and its desks at his own expense; to vacate the property within six months' notice, if requested to do so; and to teach each year, free of charge, six poor children nominated by the magistrates. The Council granted the application of Captain George Storey for liberty to erect a house on the lowermost stance on the west side of Marischal Street, immediately above the arch in Virginia Street, which would differ from its neighbours to the north [details of differences supplied]. The Council instructed the magistrates to inspect the building work to ensure that it conformed exactly to the submitted plans. (37r - 37v)

The Council granted the application of John Forbes, merchant, for liberty to erect a house on the stance of ground immediately north of Captain Storey's [on Marischal Street], using the plans submitted by Captain Storey. (37v)

The Council empowered the Clerk to employ Mr Innes, Town's Agent in Edinburgh, to raise processes of declarator of non-entry against those vassals of lands and fishings who had disregarded the Act of Council of 1 October 1800 to take out their entries before 1 February 1801, and particularly to proceed against vassals who held lands from the Master of Kirk Work, the Master of Mortifications or the Master of the Guild Brethren's Hospital.
