| Description | Council meeting, 22 September 1801 [Sederunt given]
The Council admitted one Burgess of Guild and twenty-eight Tradesmen. [No names given.] (58r)
Alexander Barron, baker in Aberdeen and Deacon of the Incorporation of Bakers, declared that the protests made on 21 September 1801 by Arthur Farquhar, shoemaker in Aberdeen and Convener of the Incorporated Trades, and George Smith, glazier in Aberdeen, on behalf of the Incorporation of Trades against the Act of Council on the entry dues payable by Tradesmen to the Council, did not have the approval of the Incorporation of Bakers. Alexander Barron stated that the Incorporation of Bakers would thus be free of any dispute which might arise between the Council and the Incorporation of Trades on this matter. (58r - 58v) |
