George Henderson, baker, the other Trades councillor, was admitted Burgess of Guild at Michaelmas 1800 renouncing his Craft, and did not attend or vote at the Annual Election 1801. (59r)
The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1801 to 1802: Mr James Hadden, Baillie Charles Farquharson, Mr Alexander More, Mr Alexander Galen, Mr Thomas McCombie, Mr John Gill, Mr William Johnston, Mr George Tower, Mr James Young junior, Baillie James Murray, Mr George Mole, Mr John Young and Mr David Dingwall, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members of the new Council: Provost John Dingwall, Provost Thomas Leys, Baillie Peter Duguid and Baillie Walter Sime. (59r - 59v)
