The Council appointed Assessors to Alexander More Esq, Dean of Guild, for the year ending Michaelmas 1803: Baillies Duguid and Farquharson, Provost George More, Provost Thomas Leys, Provost John Dingwall, Baillie William Shepherd, Mr George Sim, late Dean of Guild, Messrs Gavin Hadden, Alexander Brebner, Thomas McCombie, George Mole and James Young, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council granted the application from William Copland, advocate in Aberdeen, to continue in the post of Collector of Public Taxes on sureties provided by George More and Alexander More and James Milne, merchants in Aberdeen and George Simmers, residing in Aberdeen. (79r - 79v)

The Council agreed to pay £75 out of various mortifications to the Managers of the Poor's Hospital for the year ending Candlemas 1803. The Council elected Directors and Managers of the Poor's Hospital: the Provost, magistrates and other members of the Town Council, Baillie William Ritchie, Baillie Andrew Burnett, Baillie James Paull, Baillie William Littlejohn, Sir Alexander Bannerman, Dr Alexander Robertson, Dr William Livingston, Dr George French, Dr William Robertson, Dr William Dyce, Dr James Grant, Rev Bishop John Skinner, Rev Mr John Bryce, Rev Mr Robert Doig, Rev Mr James Shand, Thomas Bannerman Esq, John Henderson of Caskieben, John Niven of Thornton, Alexander Carnegie, Town Clerk, David Morice, Sheriff Substitute, Alexander Martin of Nellfield, James Davidson, Robert Lamb, Charles Walker and James Thomson junior, merchants in Aberdeen, Convener William Michie, Convener George Davidson, Convener Arthur Farquhar and William Copland, Town Clerk Depute. The Council approved the purchase for £880 of Collison's Croft, lying immediately east of the Lands of Rubislaw, from William Duguid, merchant in Aberdeen. The lands belonged to Mrs Duguid and her sister Miss Janet Leslie, as the only surviving children and heirs of the deceased Alexander Leslie, merchant in Aberdeen, and of John Leslie, his father.
