The Council considered the advice of Mr Innes, Town's Agent in Edinburgh, regarding the division of the Commonty of Cowie in the Court of Session, and recommended that the magistrates direct David Morice and Robert Morice, advocates in Aberdeen, to attend the division of the commonty in the Court of Session, in order to make a claim on behalf of the magistrates and the Master of Mortifications, as proprietors of the Lands and Barony of Muchals. (10r - 10v)

The Council admitted seven Burgesses of Guild and two Tradesmen as Free Burgesses of the burgh. [No names given.] (10v)

The Council refused the application from Mr John Thomson, catechist of Footdee, for an addition to his living from the Kirk and Bridge Work fund, as Mr Thomson had received an annual addition of £10 yearly to his living, the Kirk and Bridge Work fund already paid for the sacraments administered at Footdee Chapel, and because Mr Thomson was in debt to the Kirk Work charge.
