| Description | Council meeting, 28 April 1813 [Sederunt given] The Provost stated that mindful of the Bill for an Act for further improvements in the Harbour currently pending in Parliament which would permit the Harbour Trustees to purchase from the Treasurer certain properties at Footdee, it might be necessary to purchase the house and garden at present held by Alexander Nicoll, vintner, belonging to the Dean of Guild, in order that there should be only one proprietor in the Act with whom the Harbour Trustees might have occasion to treat. Upon consideration, the Council approved of the transference of the said property by the Dean of Guild to the Treasurer. (257r - 257v) |
