The Council remitted to the magistrates the application from the Rev Mr James Paull, Preacher in the College Church, for repair work to be carried out in his church building. (107v)
The Council empowered the Treasurer and the Shoremaster to borrow money at the next term to pay off any monies or debts as may arise. (107v)
The Council authorised and empowered Mr Shepherd, the Master of the Guilds Brethren's Hospital to operate as Master of Mortifications until the elections at Michaelmas, in the stead of Robert Jameson, lately deceased. (107v - 108r)
The Clerk Depute, Mr Copland, reported that the Treasurer had borrowed £280 from the Trustees of the late Roderick McDonald in Ballavallich [details of provisos given] and detailed the monies borrowed by the Treasurer and the Shoremaster at Martinmas 1808.
