Mr Alexander Simpson, Master of the Guild Brethern's Hospital, qualified as a member of Council and took the oath de fideli administratione officii. (179r)

Following the report of the Examinators of Competitors for Bursaries, the Council admitted the following to bursaries of four years duration at Marischal College; Alexander Cuddie, son of John Cuddie, dyer in Aberdeen, Nathaniel Morren, son of George Morren, late waiter in Aberdeen, David Beattie, son of the late Professor James Beattie of Marischal College, and John Duncan, son of John Duncan, shoemaker at Gilcomston, each to one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursaries of £8; William Dingwall, son of Alexander Dingwall, merchant and Burgess of Guild, and Robert Keith, son of Robert Keith, manufacturer and Burgess in Aberdeen, each to one of Katharine Rolland's bursaries of £8; Alexander Duguid, son of the late William Duguid, merchant and Burgess of Aberdeen, to one of Mr Duncan Liddel's bursaries of £5; Alexander Edmond, son of Francis Edmond, cartwright in Aberdeen, to one of Mr William Lorimer's bursaries of £5. The Council appointed the Dean of Guild's Assessors for the year Michaelmas 1810 to Michaelmas 1811: Alexander Galen and Thomas McCombie Esqs, two of the present Baillies, William Young and Alexander Brebner, merchants and late Provosts, Alexander Pirie, late Dean of Guild, and Messrs Gavin Hadden, John Young, James Young junior, Alexander Fraser, Alexander Gibbon, Alexander Low and William Pirie, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council approved the application by Pierre Devalees, French teacher, for the salary of £100 Scots of the late Mr John Nicholson, French Teacher, during the Council's pleasure only. (179v - 180r)
