The Council appointed Mr Alexander Diack, writer in Aberdeen, who had been employed for several years in the Town Clerk's office as Mr William Copland's clerk, to be Interim Depute Clerk during Mr Carnegie's absence in London, as Mr Copland was frequently indisposed and unable to discharge his duties as Depute Town Clerk.
