The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1819 to 1820: Gavin Hadden, William Leslie, Robert Walker, William Lumsden, James Mackie, James Mowat, Robert Brown, James Brebner, James Lamond, Robert Duthie, John Whyte, William Brown and Francis Burnett, all merchants in Aberdeen. The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members of the new Council: Provost Alexander Brebner, Baillie Alexander Galen, Baillie John Young and Mr John Collison. (211v)

The Council elected Deacons John Smith, glazier, and John Addie, wright, to be Trades councillors. (211v)

The Council (and George Hunter, George Henderson, William Cruickshank, William Selbie and Alexander Brown, Burgesses of Guild, and James Jopp, baker, Burgess, as Assistants) elected the following office bearers for the year 1819 to 1820:
Alexander Brebner - Provost
Alexander Galen - Eldest Baillie
John Young - Second Baillie
John Collison - Third Baillie
Robert Brown - Youngest Baillie
Gavin Hadden - Dean of Guild
James Brebner - Treasurer
James Mackie - Master of Shoreworks
Robert Duthie - Master of Kirk and Bridge Works
William Brown - Master of Mortifications
Francis Burnett - Master of Guild Brethren's Hospital
