Robert Luckie, late hosier in Aberdeen and Burgess of Guild - £10 Robert Shirrefs, late merchant in Aberdeen and Burgess of Guild - £8 Elizabeth Ross, daughter of the deceased John Ross, sometime merchant and Burgess of Guild - £5 Agnes Roy, widow of James Roy, merchant and Burgess of Guild - £5 Elizabeth Elphingstone, widow of John Elphingstone senior, sometime ropemaker in Aberdeen - £4 Margaret Williamson, daughter of William Naughten, Burgess of Guild and widow of George Williamson, shipmaster in Aberdeen - £6 Mrs Law, widow of John Law, advocate in Aberdeen - two of Mr William Guild's bursaries of £4 each for her daughters Margaret and Christian Law Isobella McRobie, widow of Gordon McRobie, merchant - £4 for herself and two of Jean Guild's bursaries of £3 each for her daughters Margaret and Catharine McRobie Margaret Murdoch, wife of George Booth, builder, Burgess - £3 Elizabeth Saunders - £3 from Lady Drum's mortification, being recommended by a connection of the mortifier Barbara Strachan - £2 from Lady Drum's mortification George Gray, hosier and Burgess (last year suspended but now re-instated) - £8 Christian Grant - £3 Nathaniel Stewart, Burgess in Aberdeen - an additional £4 William Cruickshank, late hosier and Burgess of Guild - an additional £2 David Thom, merchant - an additional £3 James Glenny, merchant, Burgess - an additional £2 Alexander Hogg, merchant, Burgess - an additional £2 Peter Wright - an additional £1 per warrant to his wife James Henderson, merchant and Burgess - an additional £2 Mrs Bowman, widow of the deceased James Bowman, Burgess - an additional £1 Mrs Copland, widow of Charles Copland - an additional £1 Mrs Crombie, widow of Alexander Crombie, merchant - an additional £1 James Downie, leather merchant - an additional £2 for himself Jean Hervey - an additional £1 Agnes Hill - an additional £1 Peter Scott, mason - an additional £2 Janet Farquhar - an additional £1 The Council remitted to the magistrates and Chamberlain to determine from which Funds the different sums were to be paid, and to continue the pensions payable by them. The Provost presented to the Council a letter from Lord Sidmouth, one of His Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, stating the Prince Regent's pleasure on receipt of the Council's address on the present state of the country. (220r) |
