The Council elected the following thirteen Burgesses to be members of the new Council for the year 1820 to 1821: James Hadden, George Thomson, Charles Walker, James Milne, Alexander Brown, Alexander Duncan, William Johnston, James Hadden junior, Alexander Mackie, Alexander Duthie junior, George Davidson, Harvey Hall and William Duguid, all merchants in Aberdeen. (230v - 231r)

The Council elected the following four members of the old Council to be members of the new Council: Provost Alexander Brebner, Baillie John Collison, Baillie Robert Brown and Mr Gavin Hadden. (231r)

The Council elected Deacon William Milne, glazier, and Deacon Alexander Thomson, cooper, to be Trades councillors. (231r)

The Council (and William Cruickshank, David Thom, George Henderson, George Hunter, William Selbie and John Moir, Burgesses of Guild, as Assistants) elected the following office bearers for the year 1820 to 1821:
Gavin Hadden - Provost
Mr Alexander Brown - Eldest Baillie
James Milne - Second Baillie
John Collison - Third Baillie
Robert Brown - Youngest Baillie
Alexander Duthie junior - Dean of Guild
William Johnston - Treasurer
Alexander Mackie - Master of Shoreworks
James Hadden junior - Master of Kirk and Bridge Works
Harvey Hall - Master of Mortifications
George Davidson - Master of Guild Brethren's Hospital

The Council elected Provost Gavin Hadden, Baillie James Milne and Baillie John Collison to be Keepers of the Keys of the Town's Charter Chest for the year 1820 to 1821. (231v)

The Council elected the Provost and the four Baillies, the Dean of Guild, James Hadden, Charles Walker, George Thomson and Alexander Duncan as Commissioners of Infeftments for the year 1820 to 1821; and them and the two Trades councillors as Auditors of the Town's Accounts. (231v)

The Council adopted Baillie Galen's vote of thanks to Provost Brebner for his valuable services during and since the turbulent and unpleasant state of the City. (231v - 232r)
