William Johnston and George Thomson qualified as members of Council by swearing and signing the usual oaths, and William Johnston took his oath de fideli administratione officii as Treasurer of the Burgh. (233v)

The Council admitted the following to bursaries of four years duration at Marischal College. Andrew Gray, son of William Gray stocking manufacturer and Burgess of Guild; and Alexander Donaldson, son of William Donaldson, writer in Tarland; each awarded one of Sir Thomas Crombie's bursaries of £9. John Smith, son of James Smith, stabler in Aberdeen, was awarded Mr Charles Gordon's bursary of £8 6 shillings 8 pence. Theodore Allan, son of the deceased John Allan, sometime farmer in Dyce; James Angus, son of George Angus, watchmaker in Aberdeen; Thomas Alexander, son of James Alexander, tailor in Aberdeen; Alexander Crane, son of John Crane, farmer in Rhynie; Alexander Keard, son of Alexander Keard, teacher of music in Aberdeen; each awarded one of Mr James Cargill's bursaries of £8. Alexander Wright, son of the deceased John Wright, sometime mason in Cromar, was awarded one of Ross' bursaries of £6. David Smith, son of James Smith, farmer at Fetteresso, was awarded Reid's bursary of £6. Thomas Torry, son of the Right Rev Bishop Torry, Peterhead, was awarded one of Mr Alexander Crombie's bursaries of £5. (233v - 234r)

The Council ordered a letter from Joseph Hume Esq, Member of Parliament for the District of Burghs, offering his services, to lie on the table. (234r - 234v)

The Council admitted one Tradesman as a Freeman of his Craft. [No name given.] (234v)
