William Joss qualified as a member of Council by swearing and signing the usual oaths, and took his oath de fideli administratione officii as Master of Mortifications. (61v)

The Council appointed their Commissioners for the next two years charged with building and maintaining a House of Correction in Aberdeen, under the Act of Parliament 42 GEO. III: Baillie Robert Garden, Mr James Hadden, Mr Alexander Galen and Mr George Storey, all merchants and Burgesses of Guild. (61v)

The Council admitted Benjamin Clerk, weaver, as a Freeman of his Craft. (61v)
