| Description | Council meeting, 5 February 1817 [Sederunt given] The Council resolved to present an address to the Prince Regent on the outrage committed against him on his return from the opening of Parliament. [Address engrossed.] The Council directed the Provost to sign the address, and to transmit it to Mr Farquhar, Member of Parliament, for him to present it to the Prince Regent. (96r - 97r)
The Council approved the sale of the feu duties in St Nicholas Street of £42 10 shillings payable by James Lamont, merchant, and John Chalmers, builder, to the St Andrew's Society, at eighteen years purchase. (97v) |
