The Council postponed a decision on the scheme for relieving the Town from its embarrassment, prepared by Mr Read, Dean of Guild, and approved by Dr Hamilton, as the meeting of burgesses to be held the same day might appoint a committee to consider the subject. (99v - 100r)

The Council appointed Mr Alexander Diack, writer in Aberdeen, then employed in the Town Clerk's office, to be interim Clerk until Mr Carnegie, Principal Town Clerk, and Mr Copland, Depute Town Clerk, had recovered from their indispositions. (100r)

The Council approved the sale by public roup of a three-year lease of the Nether Justice Mill, possessed by James Smith, together with the croft of land lying to the east of the Nether Justice Mill, to William White, merchant in Aberdeen, on behalf of Thomas Reid, miller at Nether Justice Mills, for £128 yearly rent. Thomas Reid proposed George Reid, miller at Mill of Ord, as cautioner for the lease. (100v)

The Council approved the sale by public roup of a three-year lease of the house fronting Union Street and Shiprow, occupied by John Carnie, dealer in stoneware, to him for £43 yearly rent. (100v - 101r)
