| Description | COUNCIL REGISTER, VOLUME 71, FOLIOS 198v - 199v Council meeting, 26 April 1827 [Sederunt given] The Provost reported the sale by public roup of the leases of the following subjects belonging to the Treasurer; the lease for three years of the Pack House and Weigh House Dues was not bid for; the houses, sheds and ropewalk lately held by James Gibbon & Company was also not bid for; the lease for three years of the timber yard at Footdee held by William Knowles was taken by the same at £22 5 shillings annual rent; the lease for three years of the timber yard held by John Gall & Company was taken by William Duthie, shipbuilder, £10 yearly rent; the lease for seven years of the boiling yard held by the Union Whale-Fishing Company was not bid for; the lease for seven years of the boiling yard held by the Greenland Whale-Fishing Company was taken by them at £25 yearly rent; the lease for seven years of the boiling yard held by the Bon Accord Whale-Fishing Company was taken by them at £25 yearly rent; the lease for seven years of the boiling yard held by the Dee Whale- Fishing Company was taken by them at £25 yearly rent.
