[Sederunt given]
The Provost reported that as a result of the death of His Grace the late Duke of Gordon in London on 17 June 1827 a letter of condolence had been sent to the Marquis of Huntly, now Duke of Gordon, expressing the Council's desire to show every possible mark of respect to the remains as they passed through the Town [reply from the Duke of Gordon engrossed].
