The Council resolved to present a petition to the House of Commons in favour of the Bill currently before Parliament for extending and improving the Police of the Town and suburbs and for procuring an additional supply of water adequate to the increased population of the Town. (248r)
The Council resolved to empower Mr Alexander Fraser, advocate in Aberdeen and accountant in the Chamberlain's Office, to draw on the Treasurer's Account kept with the Banking Company in Aberdeen during the absence of the City Chamberlain, Mr Hardie, who will be in London for some weeks. (248r)
