The Council resolved to send a deputation of the Council to proceed to Edinburgh with an address of loyalty to the King on the occasion of his visit to the capital, the deputation being the Provost, Baillies Alexander Brown and James Milne and Mr James Brebner, the Dean of Guild. They further charged the magistrates with preparing a draft of a suitable address to be presented at a future meeting. (14v - 15r) |
