| Description | COUNCIL REGISTER, VOLUME 71, FOLIOS 122r - 123v Council meeting, 28 November 1825 [Sederunt given] The Council authorised the Treasurer to advertise for sale by public roup in way of feu the following lots and building areas along Union Street: First, the plot on the south side of Union Street [measurements given], being the space between the properties of Mr John Hay, gilder, and Mr George Lyall, in one or more lots. Second, the corner stance on the south side of Union Street, from George Lyall's property on the east to the Correction Wynd on the west and to the property belonging to the heirs of Mr John Davidson on the south, [measurements given], to be entered at 10 shillings per foot of front. Third, the stance on the south side of Union Street, at the south-east corner of Union Bridge, opposite the building under construction by Messrs Simpson Gordon & Ogilvy, [measurements given], at the yearly feu duty of 4 shillings per foot of front. Fourth, the piece of ground on the south side of Union Street, opposite the Public Rooms, Silver Street and Golden Square, extending from the new street opened by the Incorporation of Hammermen on the east to Dee Street on the west, [measurements given], to be entered at 7 shillings 6 pence per foot of front. Fifth, the area on the east side of King Street, immediately north of the enclosing wall of St Andrew's Chapel with its back lane between Castle Street and North Street, [measurements given], at the rate of 10 shillings 6 pence per foot of front. Sixth, a piece of ground on the east side of the Denburn Walk between the same and the properties of Dr Henderson of Caskieben and Mr Archibald Simpson, [measurements given], at the yearly feu duty of 2 shillings per foot. (122r - 123r) The Council authorised the sale by public roup in way of feu of the Lands of Easter Cairnie in the Parish of Skene belonging to the Dean of Guild and at present under lease to William and Alexander Milne and the heirs of John Milne, comprising about seventy-one acres of infield, 252 acres of outfield and 180 acres of uncultivated ground. (123r) The Council authorised the sale by public roup in way of feu of the Lands and Mill of Buxburn belonging to the Treasurer and situated within the Freedom of the Burgh of Aberdeen, consisting of about 150 acres and lying in the Parish of Newhills.
