Description"Charter by James III making his beloved Servant Andrew Wod of Overblaretoun, Tronator for life (i.e. the Office of Keeper of the Weigh House) of the Burgh of Aberdeen, giving him all the fees thereto belonging, with the power of appointing Deputies.
Dated at Edinburgh 20th April 1484."

Includes a copy of the Charter by King James IV, printed on page 323, no. XIII of the Spalding Club's "Charters relating to the Burgh of Aberdeen"; creating the city of Old Aberdeen a free burgh of Barony, 26th December 1489 - now with the Old Aberdeen papers.
