Description'Aberdeen Children's Theatre' c1959, colour and sound, running time approximately 17 minutes (two copies, one without sound). The film opens with a brief introductory history of Aberdeen Children's Theatre, and shows children attending a production of the Pied Piper of Hamlyn. Then, through the story of a young applicant, the film shows the various facets of the theatre: the audition process; a make-up class; the stage props workshop; a speech training lesson; the sewing room; a mime and movement class; social interaction at the coffee break; a play rehearsal, and a performance. The closing narration lists the benefits of the Aberdeen Children's Theatre to the city and its children.
