DescriptionLetter to Alexander Macdonald of Kepplestone from Thomas Woolner, 29, Welbeck Street, West London, regarding effort to buy 'the 4 copies of the 'Germ'' at an auction, managed to get a mask of Keats which had belonged to Horne or Orion, hoping to arrange a monument for Keats some time, the Turner exhibition is postponed, to allow the Royal Academy time to expand its accommodation, 'I recommended that instead of one Ex. they should have two, and leave a space of a few inches round the frame of each picture or drawing, as this shows off a work far better than when frames touch each other', he particularly admires Keats, Turner, Crome and Cotman, and can be boring on the subjects, thanks for Macdonald's hospitality, his children enjoyed his tales of the carpet bag strawberries and the dog, 13 November 1884
