Passed to his brother, Alexander Irvine, and then to Alexander Irvine's daughters, Jean (married to Alexander Ross, merchant), Elizabeth (married to Francis Gordon, shoemaker) and Ann (married to Colin Allan, jeweller). Francis Gordon (died 1777) and then his son, James Gordon, acted as factors for the agricultural improvements undertaken from the 1760s. |
