DescriptionLetter from Frederick II, King of Prussia, to George Forbes, Advocate in Aberdeen, concerning injustices incurred in the trade of Tonjes Jansen, a subject of Frederick living in the province of Ostfriese (East Fresia) who was sanctioned in his trade as a result of the 4th Anglo-Dutch War. Frederick intends to inform his ministers in the United Kingdom that Jansen is a Prussian Citizen and not subject to search, seizure, and sanction as an enemy vessel as he is not under a Dutch flag. Written at Berlin, 17th November 1781.
