On reverse: 'Edmund Grut born in Copenhagen was working in Siam as engineer when Denmark was invaded came to England and joined the Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders as a private. Got a commission in the Military Intelligence and was a Major in the Burma Campaign. After the war worked with S.A.G. in Stockholm died 1959.'
