Page 272 28 July 1899 "Attendance this week was much affected by Aikey fair, and the Arnage Holiday.."
Inspector's Report for 1898-1899 "This school is in good order. The younger classes in particular are thouroughly well prepared. Writing, Reading and Arithmatic on slates well done by the pupils in the upper division..."

Page 282 8 June 1900 "attendance for the week was highly satisfactory. Monthly examination was held on thursady. school closed on Friday owing to children's picnic to Port errol".

Page 286 26 Oct 1900 " School closed today, being Sacramental Fast day"

Page 309 3 Oct 1902 "Owing to harvest operations, a number of the bigger boys and girls have been detained to work at home. the names of absentees will be handed to the School Board who will consider whether exemption from school may be allowed for some days"

Page 314 2 Feb 1903 " the attendance today is very poor owing to the severity of the weather and the bad state of the roads, which are worst in this district than the average country roads...."

Page 413 4 Nov 1910 "The children of one family are reported by the sanitary inspector to be suffering from scarlet fever, and have been removed to the hospital at Ellon"

Page 419 22 May 1911 "One pupil left today, as a result of the Whitsunday term change".

School Rolls:
P218 3 Sept 1895 "School reopened 43 present, 63 absent..."
P310 12 June 1903 "Number of scholars on the school roll at the end of the school year 94, week ending today 104"

It should be noted that school rolls were not considered one of the details which had to be included in the Log book, and therefore do not appear every year.
