Description | Record cards on pupils maintained by Dr. Norman Dixon, and probably his predecessor Dr. Gordon Lawson, rectors of Inverurie Academy. Known as "White cards". Index cards with typed personal details (date of birth, address, parent's name and occupation), school record, assessment of ability, homebackground and assessment of results. Majority have photographs attached and others have correspondence/reports relating to the pupils attached. Handwritten notes about post-school occupations and news cuttings added to the cards. Dates of birth cover late 1920s - early 1960s, so likely created from the 1940s - 1970s
Some mechanical damage from being stored in tins. Metal fastenings (paper clips & staples) and sellotape used extensively. Many photographs have become detached from their cards but do appear to have been labelled on the reverse. |
