Administrative HistoryThe estate of Barrack is located in the parish of Old Deer and the estate of Crichie in the parish of New Deer, close to Auchnagatt. In 1821 both estates were disposed in trust and mortified by Alexander Simpson of Collyhill for the maintenance and education of boys in Robert Gordon's Hospital. The estate was transferred to the AET in 1909 under the terms of the Robert Gordon's Technical College and Aberdeen Endowments Trust Order.
