Administrative HistoryThe Muchalls estate was purchased by the Aberdeen Educational Trust from the trustees of the Milne Bequest in 1893, with funds from the endowments amalgamated into the Trust in 1888. The estate is located near Stonehaven, in the historic county of Kincardineshire. Easter Muchalls, which had become separated from the rest of the estate in 1844, was later purchased by the Trust from Colonel James Keith. R.A, in 1895.

For more information about the history of the estate prior to 1893, see a paper in AET/2/3/35.
