Administrative HistoryIn 1889 the Aberdeen Educational Trust inherited the estates of Elrick and Annochie from it's predecessor charity, the Boys' and Girls' Hospital. The estates of Muchalls and Easter Muchalls, in historic Kincardineshire, were purchased in 1893 and 1895. The remaining estates - Barrack and Crichie , Dumbreck and Orchardtown, Haremoss and other Banchory Devenick holdings, and Towie Barclay - were transferred to the Aberdeen Endowments Trust in 1909 as a result of the terms of the Robert Gordon's Technical College and Aberdeen Endowments Trust Order. The Trust's estates are spread across Aberdeenshire, all within 32 miles of Aberdeen.

More information about the individual estates is include at the series level.
