Description | Report, dated 21 May 1812, concerning the allocation of funds to the families of militiamen, via the Kirk Treasurers. Includes a drawn up schedule which is an account of the amount and rate of the assessment made on 30 April 1812 in accordance with the 49th Act Geo. III Cap. 90 (Militia Families Act). This schedule lists the total amount of allowance for all parishes; a breakdown of the allowance to each parish; the amounts paid for the trouble and charges in terms of the Act; the amount of valued rent within the County and part of lands in Banffshire that is assessable; the amount of rents of houses in the County; and the rate of assessment. It then gives a total sum to be assessed and a total sum to be collected.
