Copies were to be placed in the schools. The members are not named on the photograph, but are believed to be the Rev. James Black, Chairman; W.M. Cowie (solicitor), clerk to the Board; John Kellas (solicitor and Town Clerk); Major William A. Gray (Earlsmohr); Bailie William Stewart Taylor (13, Jackson Street, Chemist); Councillor Alfred Frederick Young (1, Kirkland Terrace, fish and poultry dealer); either ex Provost Gray Baker or Peter Mitchell (Upper Middleton); Robert W. Buchan (Rose Cottage, possibly a printer); and Counciller John Watt, senior (Elm Cottage, carpenter). Attached notes give further information. Mounted. Was framed and glazed but glass broken and backing papers ripped, so frame removed. |
