Description | "Extract from the meeting of the feuars of Stonehaven held the 5th October 1865. Baillie Christian preses. In consequence of the resignation of Mr. Tindal as Town Clerk, and the death of Mr. George Tindal the Treasurer it was found necessary to postpone the usual audit of the towns accouts until the Treasurer's accounts were settled and the balance due him paid. The meeting then adopted the following of names to be sent to the superiors for their selection of two baillies, for the ensuing year viz: Messrs James Christian, James Jack, William Walker and James Cowie and the Clerk was directed to transmit the list to the superiors agent in the normal manner. Extracted by A. Brown, Clerk. London, 23rd October 1866 the Trustees of the late Viscount Keith hereby elect Messrs Christian and Jack as Baillie for the ensuing year. Ross Lyn, Managing Trustee." |
