TitleStonehaven Burgh: Complaint the Procurator Fiscal & Brown and Roust
DescriptionIn three parts. 1. Petition against Robert Brown, Sailor and Whitefisher in Stonehaven and John Rouse a Sailor and Shoemaker from there. Accuses them of attacking individual houses, insisting for admittance and breaking open and demolishing the doors of the houses with stones and other weapons. A gross breach of the peace which happened on Friday 19th December during the hours of 11 and 12 o'clock at night. Attacked without provocatin the house of Jean Dallas situated in Stonehaven, they threatened her when she would not admit them into her house. One of them threw a large stone at her door which broke it off its hinges. 2. Memorandum for Jean Dallas against Robert Brown and John Roust dated 1823. 3. Complaint the Procurator Fiscal against Brown and Roust, 1823.
